It is with great joy and enthusiasm that I extend a warm welcome to each of you and invite you to register for the Southern Regional Zeta Amicae Workshop and Youth Retreat, Zeta Amicae and Youth Embracing the Extraordinary Power of S.H.E.!
As we prepare to gather in Alexandria, Louisiana, we are poised to embark on a journey of empowerment, education, and enrichment. This Zeta Amicae Workshop and Youth Retreat serve as a testament to our commitment to fostering leadership, friendship, sisterhood, and service within our communities.
Our auxiliary coordinators have curated a dynamic weekend filled with engaging workshops, insightful training, and uplifting activities designed to inspire and equip each of you with the tools and knowledge needed to effect positive change in your communities.
I am also excited that members of our Regional Executive Board will have an opportunity to fellowship with each of you during our Auxiliary Awards Dinner. This will be an exciting time where we get to see what you are doing as Zeta Amicae and Youth within your auxiliaries and communities.
I extend my sincerest gratitude to our hosts, Zeta Phi Zeta Chapter and the Alexandria Zeta Amicae, for answering the call and helping to make the Zeta Amicae Workshop and Youth Retreat a success.
In closing, I invite each of you to approach this weekend with an open mind, a compassionate heart, and a willingness to learn and grow. May our time together be a source of inspiration, empowerment, friendship and sisterhood for all.

A Message from Southern Regional Zeta Amicae President

A new year has embarked upon us, and we are overjoyed about the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. We are all so blessed to have been a part of the wonderful 75th anniversary celebration in Houston, Texas in October 2023, and the continued virtual celebration in December 2023. Our united efforts became special memories that we will always cherish.
As we are in another year of service and sisterhood, we are forever grateful for the friendship and for the support of our Friends, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. It is because of them we can extend our love, resources, and services to our communities, particularly our seniors and youth in a magnificent way. My Zeta Amicae sisters, I am so proud of our kind hearts and helping hand in creative ways of bringing joy to our seniors. Also, I am extremely proud of our tireless efforts to give a leg up to our young people who need a hand with their pursuit of an education, enabling them to better their lives with lucrative jobs, starting their families, and being good solid citizens who desire to make the world a better place for all, including the youth who follow behind them.
Zeta Amicae, as we Engage and Empower the Sisterhood through the Extraordinary Power of S.H.E., I salute you today and charge you to attend the upcoming Regional Zeta Amicae Workshop in Alexandria, Louisiana. Members of the Regional Zeta Amicae Executive Board, along with Zeta Amicae of Alexandria, our Regional Coordinator of Amicae Affairs and Friends have planned an agenda to take care of business and have a little fun! This agenda focuses on meeting the needs of our Region so we can continue moving forward. Stay committed to being loyal to the gift of providing services to your communities by partnering and collaborating with your sponsoring graduate chapter to make your communities a better place. We sincerely thank our Friends for the privilege of standing under their umbrella.

Greetings – Sorors, Zeta Amicae, and Zeta Youth!
I am excited to greet you as the Regional Coordinator of Amicae Affairs and invite you to the awesome city of Alexandria! Zeta Amicae of Alexandria accepted the call to serve as the support hostess auxiliary for the 56th Regional Zeta Amicae Workshop with less than six months to plan. However, I can assure you they are more than ready to host the Southern Regional Executive Board, Zeta Amicae of the Southern Region, and Zeta Youth Affiliates this June.
Serving as Workshop Coordinator is Amica Carolyn Murray, who also served as the 2nd President of Zeta Amicae of the Southern Region from 2009 – 2013. This is a full circle moment for Amica Murray, and her Auxiliary is just as excited to share in this celebration. As we convene in Alexandria, Louisiana, let’s come open-handed and receive all that will be offered. We have developed a two-day agenda that is low-key yet impactful. Ending the weekend will be a celebration with the Zeta Youth Affiliates so be sure to bring your “awards” attire.
Thank you to Soror Shelia Hudson and Zeta Phi Zeta for serving as the support hostess chapter and setting the stage for an amazing weekend. Special thanks to our Regional Director, Soror Rhetta Washington McCoy, for your continued leadership and vision. Together – we achieve more, and with God – all things are possible.

Hello Sorors, Zeta Amicae, Zeta Youth Affiliate Groups, and Guests!
It is my pleasure and honor to extend greetings and welcome you to the 2024 Zeta Amicae Leadership Workshop and the Zeta Youth Affiliates 2024 Youth Retreat – “I Can Do All”.
I want to thank the “Mighty” Southern Region’s Director Rhetta Washington McCoy for the inspiring dedication, commitment, and positive leadership she brings to the region. Additionally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our host chapter, Zeta Phi Zeta for answering the call. I deeply appreciate the hospitality you are extending to us by bringing these phenomenal events to the city of Alexandria, LA.
The State Youth Coordinators and I have been hard at work to prepare a schedule packed with activities that are both familiar and new for our youth. We look forward to seeing our Pearlettes, Amicettes, and Archonettes participating in the various competitions and being triumphant proving that they CAN DO ALL!
As we convene, I encourage our Friends and our ZYA Youth to embrace the opportunity to learn, lead, and inspire. I am sending up prayers that our moral compasses allow us to fellowship with grace, dignity, and zeal. Safe travels to all.
